This assignment requires you to review the historical accuracy of a film.
You must find and use:
- Three reviews of the film
- Substantial reviews by authoritative reviewers/critics (look for reviews that are at least several paragraphs in length and assess the credentials/qualifications of the author of the review).
- Avoid anonymous or user-posted reviews on sites such as Amazon, IMDB. These sites can still be useful for information or for finding critic reviews.
- Try to find reviews from quality news sites/newspapers such as Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, New York Times, CBC, etc., or from established critics.
- At least five independent secondary sources
- These may include books or book chapters, scholarly articles, or reputable websites.
- These may not include general reference sources such as Wikipedia, textbooks, or encyclopedia.
- Use the tabs along the top of this guide to locate different types of sources.
A minimum of five sources must be in print (book chapter or journal article that would appear in print) and three sources in electronic form (such as a stand-alone website).
