What to do When You Have Library Fines

Pay by cash at the Library Service Desk.
Pay online. The link to do so can be found within your Library Account HERE.
- Once you are logged in, click on "Resources" located in the top left, and choose "Online Fine Payments".

Review Your Library Account to ensure you know what items you have borrowed, when to return your items, and to renew an item if you know you want it longer or know you will not be on campus to return the item. Library account can be accessed HERE
You can also renew items by phoning us at 403-529-3867 in Medicine Hat or at 403-362-1690 in Brooks.

Any Library fines that accumulate in your account will depend on what type of items are late and how long it is overdue.

Circulating books, AV items, Curriculum materials		$1.00	$15.00	All fines accumulate per item.
Laptops, iPads/CVP's		$20.00	$200.00
Reserve items	$1.00		$15.00
Items with Holds		$2.00	$30.00
Library/MM equipment		$10.00	$50.00
Lost items	Replacement fees will vary depending on the value of the material(s), plus a $10.00 processing fee.

If you feel a fine and/or fee was charged unfairly, you should speak to a staff person at the Library Service Desk.
