The following equipment is available for Students, Staff & Faculty to borrow. All equipment has a 24 hour loan unless otherwise stated.

Laptops/Macbooks

***Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we are currently unable to lend laptops***

Lightweight, portable alternative to a home computer or desk top.  Unlike tablets, all laptops have keyboard capability, and more functionality such as a disk drive and/or USB port.  Great for word processing, browsing the web, creating Powerpoint presentations, or web conferencing on the go.

 

Specs

  • Various models available including Dell Latitude 5490 & 7280, HP Probook 650 G1 & G5, and Macbook Air A1466

  • USB stick required for saving files

  • Mouse and power cord included

iPads

Easy to use, lightweight tablets PC developed by Apple.  Similar to an IPhone, but with a much larger touchscreen display.  Supports multi-touch and gestures such as swiping or pinching objects on the screen.

 

Specs

  • Some models available with blue tooth keyboard

  • Battery life: between 8-10 hours on a full charge

  • Millions of apps available to be downloaded

  • Newer models have camera/video capability

CVP's and CVP/LT Carts

Various models, such as the Epson Powerlite 1770W, available for loan, either by themselves to attach to your own personal computer or laptop, or on a cart with CVP, laptop, PA, & VHS/DVD player.  Projectors work brilliantly for Powerpoint presentations with the addition of a Powerpoint remote (also available on loan from the library).

Document Camera

You can easily accomplish numerous tasks with the AVervision F50 document camera. With this equipment, students and instructors are able to project images of paper or pages of a textbook onto a screen. The possibilities for this versatile presentation solution are virtually endless.
