Multimedia Equipment

Video & Visual Equipment

The following equipment is available for Students, Staff & Faculty to borrow. All equipment has a 24 hour loan unless otherwise stated.
campus ID card is required to borrow any equipment.

DSLR Cameras

Two Canon EOS Rebel T3 cameras are available to staff and students. DSLR cameras produce high-resolution photos and video and have manual and automatic focus capabilities. They require an SD card for image storage which is available for loan at the library. Tripods, mics, and other accessories are also available. 

Common uses include:
  • Large-format photography fort posters, art projects, etc.
  • Advanced cinematography
  • Photography needs like superior zoom, shooting at night, etc. 

Video Cameras

Handheld video cameras are available to borrow from the library. These easy-to-use "camcorders" are commonly used to record exams, demonstrations, field work, experiments, and presentations. Footage can be viewed and deleted through the viewing screen or uploaded to a computer. SD cards are available for extra storage.

External DVD & Blu-ray Players

External DVD and Blu-ray players are available to borrow from the library. They are easy to use and can be found on most CVP/LT carts.

To use DVD & Blu-ray players:
  • Plug the device into a USB drive on your computer, setting it on a flat surface
  • Insert your disc
  • Right-click the DVD/Blu-ray drive in the File Explorer on your computer
  • Select "Play with VLC Player"

Black GoPro ten

GoPro and Accessories

The GoPro Hero 10 is designed for creating high-quality video while on the move, making it a perfect tool for field recordings and shooting outdoor and/or athletic activities.  

Available accessories: 
  • An underwater shooting kit 
  • Mounts for handlebars, helmets, and windows 
  • Straps for the head and chest 
  • A GoPro-specific tripod 

Web Cameras

The library has 21 USB webcams available for staff and students to borrow, two of which belong to webcam kits that include a 3-foot USB extension. 

Common uses:
  • video conferencing
  • virtual tests
  • flexible learning  

Lighting & Camera Accessories

The library has a number of lighting options available to borrow to enhance your photography and video projects.

Available accessories:
  • Ring lights with tripods
  • 12" x 12" light boxes
  • A 2-piece Softbox lighting kit (see above)
  • A green screen
